Developer mode
Everything in a server has an id: the server, each channel and category, each message, each member, each role, each emoji, each forum post. The API speaks in those ids. Developer mode puts a Copy ID entry in the menus of Moymo for Windows, so you never have to dig an id out of a request.
Switch it on
- Open the Servers add-on in Moymo for Windows. (It is installed from the Modules page; see Add-ons.)
- Open your profile settings in servers: choose the cog by your name at the bottom left, then Profile.
- Turn on Developer mode under Show IDs and copy them.
It is remembered from one run of the program to the next, and it only changes what the menus offer; nothing about how Moymo works changes for you or for other people.
What you can copy
Right-click, or use the ... menu, on:
| On | Copy |
|---|---|
| A server in the list | Server ID |
| A channel or a category | Channel ID or Category ID, and Server ID |
| A message | Message ID, the author's User ID, and Channel ID |
| A member (in the member list or on their card) | User ID |
| A forum post | Post ID, the author's User ID, Channel ID |
| A role (in Server settings > Roles) | Role ID, with a copy button beside the role |
| An emoji (in Server settings > Emoji) | Emoji ID, with a copy button beside it |
A bot's user id is also on its Bot tab in the Developer Portal.
Older servers
An id that Moymo's API did not send yet is left out of the menu rather than copied wrong. The member and author ids were added on 2026-11-03; a Moymo for Windows older than the Servers add-on 1.17 does not show Developer mode at all.
Using the ids
A channel's id and your bot's token are all you need to write in it:
RequestPOST
/channels/{channel.id}/messages Shellbash
# Paste the channel's id (Copy ID) in place of $CHANNEL_ID
curl -X POST https://moymo.net/api/app/v1/channels/$CHANNEL_ID/messages \
-H "Authorization: Bot $MOYMO_BOT_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "content": "Hello from my bot" }'Every endpoint that takes an id of a server, channel, message, member or role is in the API reference.
