Moymo for Windows

Moymo for Windows

Moymo for Windows is a small program that does the counting for you. It waits in the system tray, notices which game you start and stop, keeps your library and hours on Moymo up to date, and asks you for a one-second rating the first time you play something new. It also shows what your friends are playing, lets you chat and call them, and grows with add-ons.

It runs on Windows 10 and 11, in a 64-bit and a 32-bit build, and is free. The download is under 10 MB, and while it waits in the tray it keeps its memory small.

What it does

Counts your hoursSees a game start and stop and adds the time. Finds games from Steam, Epic, GOG, Ubisoft, EA, Riot, Xbox and Battle.net, and games that belong to no launcher. See Your library and hours.
Asks onceA one-second rating the first time you play something new.
Shows your friendsWho is playing what, and a note when they start. See Friends, chat and calls.
Grows with add-onsServers, a Password Vault, Clips and screenshots and more, downloaded when you want them. See Add-ons.
Streams to your TVMoymo Link sends a game from your PC to a television or phone at home.

The window

The program has a sidebar with icons, and a header with back and forward, home and search.

PlaceWhat is there
LibraryYour games: Downloaded (installed on this PC) on top, the rest of your Moymo library below.
FriendsEveryone you follow, with what they play.
ActivityThe site's activity feed, in the program.
ModulesThe add-ons you can install, and the ones you have. A + under the icons opens it.
SettingsEverything below, in sections with a search box.
Add-on placesEach installed add-on adds a place of its own to the sidebar.

In the header:

  • A bell with your notifications (friends starting a game, messages, a television linked).
  • A cast icon that opens the Moymo Link card. It turns green only while it is really streaming.
  • A focus mode button (and the key Ctrl + backslash) that hides the header and the sidebar in every add-on: they come back when the pointer goes to the edge.

What it sends to Moymo

The program is deliberate about this, and the details are in Settings and what is sent. In short: which games you play and for how long, to keep your library and hours; your presence, if you allow it; and nothing else about your computer. Everything it reads (like Steam's own hour counts) is read-only and stays on your PC unless it is part of what you asked Moymo to keep.

Also on your phone

Moymo has an Android app (and an iPhone app), with your library, friends, chats and servers on your phone. You sign in with one scan: Moymo for Windows shows a code under Add a phone, and the phone scans it, so the phone never sees your password. See Your account.
