Blocks
A bio page is a canvas, and what is on it is blocks. Moymo has 59 kinds of block, all free, which you place anywhere you like. Open the canvas with Edit page in the editor.
Working with the canvas
- Add a block from the block list. A new block appears on the canvas; drag it where you want it.
- Drag to move, drag an edge or corner to resize. A block keeps its proportions where its content needs them.
- Select a block to open its inspector: the panel with that block's own settings.
- Delete a block from its inspector. Deleting never touches what the block showed: a game shelf block only draws your shelf, it does not delete it.
- Blocks have a How big and a How wide (and where they sit), and often a Corner, a Solidity and Blur of their own plate.
- The page is saved with the panel's Save button: if you open the page before saving, it opens without your latest changes, and the editor says so.
What a block holds
The inspector's first section, What it holds, is different for each kind. The families you will use most:
Identity
Your avatar, @handle and badges. Choose the layout, the avatar size and the name size, and which parts are shown.
Links and shares
A set of links: each has an Address, a Name, a Platform (Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, X, Discord, Steam and more, drawn with the platform's own mark), and a Colour. Use Add link for a link to anything, Add share for a "share this page" row. Under Look choose the Style (icons or buttons), Shape, Size, whether the platform colours are used, and a Hover glow. Reset returns a link to its defaults.
Text and heading
A Heading (shown or hidden) and Text you write: for an "about", a note, a list of what you play. Set Bold, Italic and Underline, the colour and the size.
Picture
JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF. Choose What it shows: Show the whole picture, or Fill the block and crop. Set the Corner, and what it Opens when clicked.
Music
The music player and its Track.
Your games
- Favourite games: a shelf of covers straight from the Moymo catalogue.
- What you are playing now (needs Discord linked).
- Quick rate: a block for rating games quickly.
- Gear: the devices you play on (PC, laptop, phone, console, handheld, VR, peripherals...).
Numbers
Pick Figures: Library (games owned), Hours, Watched, Ratings and Completed. Choose a value colour, whether to explain the number, and the spacing. Connect Steam and the page shows your hours played and how many games you own.
Counters and clocks
A view counter, a clock, and similar small blocks that sit on the page.
Services
Blocks for what you do elsewhere: your Discord presence, a Discord server card, a stream block with the live preview, a badge and the audience of your Twitch or Kick channel, a YouTube channel.
Built-in pieces
Some parts of a profile are part of the Moymo profile itself: Games, Activity and Reviews. In the Page panel you choose between Canvas only (only the blocks you placed) and Everything (the built-in pieces as well). On the bio page these can also be placed as blocks.
Tips
- Start from a template rather than an empty canvas: Templates.
- Fewer, bigger blocks look better on a phone, where most people open a bio link.
- Use the preview at phone width. The canvas has a tall shape (what a bio link opens in) and a wide one for landscape windows.
