Addresses

Your bio page can be reached at more than one address. They all open the same page. You manage them in the Page panel, under Bio link.

This is the link to put in your bio on other sites. Copy the link copies it, Open the bio page opens it in a new tab.

Bio page is live switches the page on or off. When it is off, nobody else can open it and the switch is the first thing to check if a visitor says the link shows nothing. (When a custom domain is connected and the bio page is off, the domain sends visitors to your Moymo profile instead.)

Your subdomain

Your page can live at a subdomain of Moymo: name.moymo.net. Type the name you want in Your subdomain; the field checks that it is free ("Checking...", then "That address is free") and saves with Saved. Your subdomain now opens this profile. Open your subdomain opens it.

A few names are kept for Moymo itself and cannot be used as an address: www, api, admin, developer, wiki, docs, portal, bots and similar.

A second short address

With Moymo MAX you can have a second short address for the same profile: another name that opens the same page. It is checked and kept free like the first, and it shares the same namespace: a second address cannot be a name somebody else already uses as their username.

Your own domain

A domain you own, like davidsgames.cz, can open your page too. It has its own guide: Your own domain.

Which address does a visitor see?

Whichever they arrived by. They are all equal; none redirects to another. Put the one you like best in your bio. A short subdomain reads well as text; a custom domain looks the most like yours.

If an address stops working

  • A subdomain works as long as your account does and the bio page is live.
  • A custom domain has to keep pointing at Moymo. If its DNS changes, Moymo notices within the half hour and the Page panel says so; your Moymo profile and subdomain keep working regardless.

The wiki is for Moymo's members and developers. Something wrong or missing? Use "Suggest a change" on any page.
