Servers

A server is a place of your own for a group of people: channels to talk in, voice channels to talk out loud, roles to say who may do what, and rooms for posts, to-do lists, documents, calendars and more. Servers live in the Servers add-on of Moymo for Windows, and on your phone.

Install it from the Modules page. It adds Servers to the sidebar, with a list of your servers down the left.

Make one, join one

  • Make a server: the + at the bottom of the server list. Choose a name, a colour and a short mark (a letter or an emoji). A new server starts with a Text channels category with general, and a Voice channels category with General.
  • Join one: paste an invite. An invite is a short code or link; a server can also give a custom invite name as a perk (see Sparks and perks). Opening an invite link (moymo.net/server/<code>) shows a card with a Join button.

You can own 10 servers and be in 50.

Your place in a server

Your standing in a server is a nickname (if you set one), your roles, and what you have chosen to show beside your name: nothing, a server's tag, your level, or up to three of your Moymo badges. You also choose how you appear: Online, Do not disturb (no notes, no flash), Busy or Hidden. These choices are yours, and the same in every server.

Notes

A ping (a mention of you, a role you hold, or @everyone) makes a note at the corner of your screen even when the window is closed, unless you have turned notes off or are on Do not disturb. Each server and channel can be muted or set to notify you for all messages, mentions only or nothing.

Developer mode

If you build bots, switch on Developer mode: it adds Copy ID to every menu.
