Appearance

The Appearance panel dresses your page. Most of it applies to the bio page (the external profile); the notes say where it does not.

Profile colour and preview

Pick the accent colour with the presets or any colour. A Preview shows your page's follow and message buttons in it.

Background

Choose a Kind:

KindWhat it does
ColourA solid colour, or your own gradient: choose the shape (linear, and so on), the angle and the colours, or start from one of the gradients offered.
PictureAn image you upload.
VideoA video you upload. It loops silently by default. Use the video's sound plays its audio too, with a volume.

A picture or video background shows on your external profile only. Your Moymo profile takes a colour or a gradient, so the navigation and tabs over it stay readable.

Under the background:

  • Dim (or Transparency) darkens it so text stays readable;
  • Blur softens it, with Back to sharp to undo it, and an Amount;
  • Remove takes the background away.

Atmosphere

A weather for your page, drawn over the background. Every tile in the picker is running the real thing, so you can see it before you choose.

Snow, Rain, Stars, Fireflies, Embers, Bubbles, Petals, Constellation, Plasma, Dither, Old TVAurora, Matrix, Mist

None turns it off. An atmosphere takes your accent colour where it can (the rain and the stars are tinted by it) and pauses when the page is not on screen.

Name

Your name can have an effect. You can stack up to three at a time, and every tile plays the real animation. Choose Clear to turn them off.

MorphCycles through the words of the name
ScrambleLetters keep resolving out of noise
ShimmerA light sweep travelling across the letters
ShineBlooms and softens on a slow cycle
GlowAn accent-coloured halo around the letters
PulseA breathing glow
ShakeA constant small jitter
GlitchOccasional RGB tearing
ChromeA slow reflective sweep
GradientThe accent colour blended through the name
LoadingFills left to right like a progress bar
FlipLetters turn over one after another
Cherry BlossomsPetals drifting past the name

FlickerA dying neon sign
RainbowThe full spectrum scrolling through the name
OutlineHollow letters with an accent stroke
White, Rainbow, Green, Light blue, Red and Black SparklesTwinkles over the name (black ones are best on a light background)

Some effects paint the letters themselves (Chrome, Gradient, Shimmer, Rainbow, Loading, Outline), so stacking two of those, or putting one under an accent gradient, lets the more specific one win.

Bio effect

How the description under your name arrives. The choices are Reveal, Underline, Fade, Type, Tint, Quote, Plate, Glow and Rise; every tile plays its own motion, so you can watch before you choose. They are free for every account. They need a bio to work on.

Typeface

The font of the whole page, with Moymo, Grotesk, Mono, Sora, Chakra and Terminal to choose from. Choosing your own typeface is a Moymo MAX feature; every other account keeps Moymo's.

Pointer and trail

Moymo MAX accounts can wear their own pointer (a custom image as the mouse cursor) and a trail that follows it. They are worn on your bio page only: visitors to your Moymo profile keep the arrow they arrived with, and nothing is drawn behind the pointer there.

Beside your name: badges

Choose which badges to show next to your name: your Moymo badges (levels, milestones), your Discord tag (the server tag you wear on Discord) and your Discord badges. The Discord ones need a linked Discord account, a server tag you are wearing, and membership of the Moymo Discord server. See Badges and Discord.

The plate behind them

Badges can sit on a plate behind them. Choose its Size, its Solidity, and its Edges (Sharp, Soft or Round), and a Motion for the badges: No motion, Soft glow, Slow pulse or Spark sweep. The filters Owned, Every badge and Yours change which badges are listed in the picker.

Motion

Your device's reduce motion setting is always respected: with it on, atmospheres hold still and effects stop moving.

Saving

Save appearance stores everything in the panel at once.
