Music
A page can play music. You add a music block: a small player with your track.
Adding a track
In the block's inspector, under Track, upload an audio file: MP3, OGG or WAV up to 12 MB. Uploading your own songs is available to every account.
You have to confirm the rights
When you upload a soundtrack you confirm that you made the recording or hold a licence to publish it online. Moymo asks for this because pages are public, and keeps the time you confirmed it. Uploads without the confirmation are refused.
You can cut the track so only a part plays: choose where it starts and ends.
The player
| Setting | |
|---|---|
| Artwork | A picture for the track, with Behind it (a plate behind the player), its Solidity and Edges. |
| Button | The play button's Corners and Side. |
| Progress bar | Where it sits, its thickness and what it is filled with (colours of your choice). |
| Playback | Start on its own, and whether to show the elapsed time. |
| Volume | The starting volume. |
Autoplay: what a browser allows
Browsers do not let a page start sound until the visitor has touched it. So "Start on its own" plays as soon as the browser allows, and Moymo keeps trying until it does. A page with music can also have an entry screen ("Click to enter"), which gives the visitor something to click, and the click starts the music. See The page itself.
Visualiser
Moymo MAX adds an audio visualiser for the player, which moves with the music.
A video's sound
A video background has its own sound option; see Appearance. Use the player or the video's sound, so the two do not talk over each other.
